You can of course water the plants yourself, but if you have a larger garden or simply want to save yourself time and hassle then you can have an irrigation system installed, which will water the plants on a regular basis for you. It is also a great idea because it will provide the water directly to where it is going to be most beneficial for the plants, which is at the root zones.
