Cedar Grove Compost – A Leader In The Composting Industry

Cedar Grove Compost is the leading recycler of organic material in the Pacific Northwest. The company turns yard-, wood-, and food-waste into excellent, nutrient-packed compost. Managing waste since 1938, Cedar Grove Compost has been inspected and highly rated by such food programs as that of the Agriculture Department of Washington State.

Did you know that Cedar Grove is the biggest single composting company devoted to yard-waste recycling and processing in America today? Moreover, its 100%-natural compost line is a bestseller among many landscaping contractors, nursery farmers, and food crop growers in many parts of the US.

The company's services are available throughout the Northwest, in states such as Washington, Montana, Oregon, Idaho, Utah, and Alaska.

What Goes Into Cedar Grove Compost?

Material processed from the Pacific Northwest includes plant waste and yard trimmings, as well as wood byproducts. The woody and green combination is conducive to beneficial compost bacteria and fungi, which produces compost rich in minerals and nutrients. Moreover the combination's unique qualities aid the suppression of the diseases that other compost mixes are prone to.

What Cedar Grove Compost Does?

Through a periodic release of minerals, it improves the fertile qualities of the soil it is applied to. Moreover, it is conducive to microorganisms, and is packed with matter highly beneficial to soil texture and composition.

How is Cedar Grove Compost Applied?

Each cubic-foot bag covers 4 sq. ft. at a depth of 3 inches. Mix half-part Cedar Grove Compost to half-part regular soil in a depth of four to eight inches.

For mulch, add a 3-inch layer of compost to insulate roots from extreme changes in temperature. Compost can also make it less likely that soil will dry up or erode. It can even get weed problems under control.

What is Cedar Grove Compost Ideal For?

It is ideal for flower-growing purposes as well for the healthy lawn surfaces, shrubbery, and trees. It is ideal for increasing the water-retaining property of soil, as well as loosening clayey soil. It can also vastly improve the nutrient content of sand-logged soil.

When used for food crop, use a fourth-part of compost for every three parts of soil prior to planting.

For lawn planting, use it to augment soil that has grown tired and over-tilled. On the other hand, in two-way topsoil, it can be used by itself or for seeding, sodding, or hydro seeding.

In lawn top dressing, use half a part of Cedar Grove Compost to half a part of sand.
